About | INTRODUCTION TO THE SIGMARINE GROUP The group has been active in the Marine-Industrial, Electro-mechanical, Power Electronics, Instrumentation and control, and other processing Industries such as Hydrogen Plants, CO2 Dry Ice Plant, Cryogenic plants (such as liquid Oxygen, CO2, and Nitrogen) and Power Plant Installation and Commissioning for more than fifteen (15) years. The company activities commenced as a designer, fabricator, and Maintenance services on general engineering. Continuous association with the various industries to meet their needs for process equipment and control instruments, resu1ted in an expanding knowledge in technological updates, upgrading of plant operation and processes, and project know how and expertise. This resulted in the expansion of our services to the turnkey engineering, design and construction of Power Plants, Cryogenics, refrigeration, Air-conditioning, On line monitoring system, Plant automation and other process plants. Sigmarine Engineering routinely provides total discipline engineering and project execution skills in virtually all process industries. SIGMARINE capabilities include process selection, cost estimating, feasibility studies, plant design, construction and start-up. SIGMARINE CAPABILITIES 1. FEASIBILITY STUDY ON PROJECT EVALUATION Utilizing the expertise of Sigmarine Engineering's personnel, and where expedient, independent specialist skills on a consulting basis, SIGMARINE can perform initial evaluation studies of a project to arrive at the most feasible concept. During this phase, SIGMARINE typically performs feasibility studies, conceptual designs and cost audits. 2. CONCEPTUAL AND DESIGN ENGINEERING Qualified engineering staff and specialist consultant are available to provide all aspects of engineering for a project. Engineering staff works in close liaison with the client to ensure accurate formulation and interpretation to design criteria. Major disciplines of design engineering are listed below: - Power Management - Process - Mechanical - Electrical - Instrumentation - PLC, SCADA, SLC, Data Acquisition and control - Structural - Piping - Motor controllers, frequency inverters - Process Monitoring and Control - Marine and Industrial Electronic 3. PROJECT PLANNING AND CONTROL Utilizing the feasibility study and conceptual engineering work, a detailed critical path analysis can be prepared to assist in the over-all planning of the project. The computer-based nature of this network allows frequent updating during the project, ensuring good cost and schedule controls. 4. PROJECT MANAGEMENT SIGMARINE project management is based on the "task-force" concept where a complete project team is set up for the project. The advantages of this are the "single-source" responsibility concept, which guarantees the client the best service and immediate response via the Project Manager who is the sole coordinator. The engineers and staff are thoroughly familiar with, and capable of meeting a project on time and within budget, thus allowing the client to generate positive cash flows from the earliest date. 5. CONSTRUCTION SIGMARINE has the in-house expertise for the planning, management, control and execution of all site construction work. The field staff comprises a site manager who has over-all on site responsibility for the project, with the assistance from construction supervisors and field engineers. 6. COMMISSIONING During the design and construction stages of a project, a close liaison is maintained between the project team and the engineers who will be responsible for commissioning the plant. In many cases, members of the engineering team under the SIGMARINE commissioning manager will also undertake commissioning assistance to the client using the client's operators. The commissioning team prepares operating manuals and, when construction is complete, assists in bringing the plant into operation and ensures that it pe |
