The showroom, which also partially functions as a retail site, also features a lighting collection designed by Kasper Larsen, formerly represented by Clodagh Design International, and original turned wooden sculptures by American woodworking artist Glenn Cass. The entire collection at Hudson Furniture Inc. Which pays tribute to the conceptual and organic designs of woodworker George Nakashima and sculptor Constantin Brancusi, is inspired by native West Coast woods, including claro walnut, myrtle, birch and figured maple wood. The collection integrates natural forms of the tree with the grain of the wood, clean lines and geometric shapes. Every piece is made using hand-selected environmentally sound, native American woods that are beautiful and unique. Hudson Furniture's signature offering is their one-of-a-kind solid wood slab furniture. Wood finishes include ebonizing, tung oil and custom polishes. Custom-made furniture and lighting is also available with a 6-8 week lead time. The company's current client projects include the Burberry concept headquarters in San Francisco and Nieman Marcus and residences in the Richard Meier Building, both in New York City. |
