| About | ASTOR was born in 2000 when there was a research conducted in the 2 wheel market, after which its founder Edy de Oliveira realized that the Brazilian scene was highly attractive for businesses aiming the disabled, especially for replacement pieces and grey tires. In this research it was established that 25 percent of the world population has some kind of deficiency, from which 10 percent are physical. Also, it was found out that the orthopedic sector had grown 200 percent from 1996 to 2000. Today ASTOR is known all over the country as one of the main suppliers of imported tires, and it has been working with big wholesalers, manufacturers and hospitals, and also clubs with sport and domestic tires. In 2005 the administration felt the need to broaden the range of products. Astor now has tires for motorcycles, certified by INMETRO.
