| About | Established in 1998, Yunnan Hongrui Lemon Development Co., Ltd. is a key enterprise in Dehong Prefecture, Kunming, Yunnan Province introduced by Yunnan Provincial Government to develop local economy with special features and facilitate the development of the lemon growing and processing industry. As a result of the efforts made over the years, the lemon industry in Dehong, in all aspects ranging from lemon growing, processing and production to research, development and marketing, has taken shape, with a layout of industrialized operation formed initially. So far, our company has made a total investment of RMB 80 million. Working with the government, our company has organized and built a lemon base, with nearly 50,000mu (approx. 33.33 million square meters) of lemon growing plants. 2,000 tons of fresh lemon fruits are produced each year. In 2004, our company introduced a new comprehensive lemon processing production line featuring simultaneous oil extraction, juice pressing, concentration, sterilization, and packing operation from Italy with an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of fresh lemon fruit. Our company is engaged in the production of high-quality lemon oil, raw lemon juice, concentrate lemon juice and other series of products. In 2005, a workshop with an annual production capacity of 100 tons of lemon pectin was established. So far, our main plants have all been installed in place, and various supporting equipment and facilities have been completed. The workshop was put into production in the middle of 2006. Our company has passed China Quality Management System Certification, and our quality control system has been verified to be in compliance with ISO9001:2000 and healthy requirements for enterprises producing export-oriented foodstuff. Our company has also obtained HACCP Certificate for food safety management system as well as Chinese Metrology Accreditation Certificate. Sparked by the lemon program, a great number of farmers have chosen to grow lemon, as many of them get benefits and increase their income. At present, Hongrui's lemon industry has become another new eco-agricultural industry in the local area, and has done its part in enhancing the economic prosperity and national consolidation in the ethnic minority-inhabited area and increasing farmers' income. The lemon program has been proud to be one of the "Key Industrialized Development Projects in National Comprehensive Agricultural Development", "Demonstration Projects of China in Deep-processing of Agricultural Products", "Key Projects of China's Guangcai Program", and "Projects of the Spark Program at the National Level", and has received special support from the state. By 2010, our company will complete the construction of a 200,000-mu (approx. 133 million square meters) lemon growing base; by 2015, the base will be enlarged to at least 300,000mu (approx. 200 million square meters), which will benefit more than 150,000 farmers and make a great deal of barren mountains green. Our company has also extended the base beyond the border to engage in the "drug substitute plantation". Our company cherishes a goal to build the largest lemon growing and deep processing base in China. Taking the local climate and resources, existing foundation that has been laid, as well as the strength of investors of Hongrui Lemon -Yunnan Hongyu Group and Yunnan Tin Industry Group into account, it is predictable that in the near future, Hongrui Lemon could develop into a large scale business engaged in agricultural product processing with an annual output value of RMB 10 billion. |
