About | Brand designer Esti Drori Hayut, is a multi-medium artist who has worked for many years in photography, painting, jewelry design and different crafts;all of which have served as a stepping stone for realizing an old dream, designing shoes. After she began working in the field, she discovered that her grandfather and uncle, who were murdered during the holocaust, had a workshop for the design and production of shoes in Romania which supported the family. A pair of old lasts from the factory, that were preserved by her aunt, now hold a place of honor in Esti Tel Aviv studio. This story, fairy tales and fantasies and shoes that were produced and designed at the beginning of the last century, are the inspiration for the brand name:The Shoe Story. All of the shoes are produced as they once were, by hand in Israel, from leathers, materials and accessories collected over the years with a maximum emphasis on comfort. Each style is part of a limited series which is available in a number of combinations. Shoes for brides can be ordered, and require a coordinated meeting with the designer. The entire collection can be purchased at The Atelier designer store, located at: 18 Beit Eshel Street, Jaffa (Shuk Hapishpishim). Limited styles can be purchased at additional select stores. |
