| About | Trakya Birlik was established in 1966 and its full name is Oilseeds Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union of Thrace. Trakya Birlik every year purchases 40 - 60% of Turkish sunflowerseed production from its producer shareholders. Trakya Birlik today carries out its productions in Tekirdag Integrated Plants and Karacabey Oil Factory with contemporary technologies. In each relevant plants, there are waste treatments units, conforms to European norms, and the production is performed with environmental protection-conscious. The plants of Trakya Birlik have annual capacities of 270.000 Tons of sunflowerseed crushing, 87.000 Tons of refined sunflower oil and 30.000 Tons of margarine production as well as 73.000 Tons of crude vegetable oil storage. Sunflower oil and margarines, produced in these contemporary plants hygienically, have been contributing taste to the dining tables of all around of Turkey. It has got a market shares for refined oil and margarine as 17% ( 100 Thd T ) and 10 % ( 20 Thd T ) respectively. Trakya Birlik succeeded to take part as 38th in 2001, 110th in 2002, 60th in 2003, 167th in 2004 , 126th in 2005, 118th in 2006, 82nd in 2007 and 101st in 2008 among Turkey's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises of Turkey.
