Over many years Ragtex UK has been talking with schools and their local councils to learn and develop a schools recycling scheme that also educates children of all ages with basic information on aspects and history of clothing, textile fabrics and recycling. The scheme helps children engage in their school community project to raise money for their school whilst recycling their own used clothes and also reducing the amount of clothes going to landfill. Working together with Local Councils we are actively trying to encourage more schools to participate. You will find communication with us easy and helpful. Ask for Mrs Di Queenborough. Business Manager. When a school registers for the scheme we agree a collection date for our van to collect. Stickers are issued to the school to be given to each pupil. On the collection day the children bring the clothes to school and a Ragtex UK Van driver will call and collect the clothes. After the collection, the school is paid and prizes are awarded for participating and achieving recycling targets. Members of the Ragtex Team are available to perform presentations explaining the processes involved in the collection and export of recycled clothing. |
