HISTORY / OPORTUGAL WINES TRADITION; ODouro, the oldest demarcated region in the world, established in 1758. The matchless beauty of the hillsides of the 0Corgo valley and the area's historic heritage combines with hospitable and hard-working population you make the region an increasingly popular tourist destination. Situated amidst the "sea of vineyards" in the historic district, with the blessing of St Martha, the patron saint of the ODouro, grew and merged with two to other important nearby wineries, you make history. Today, with to over 2000 members, produce tenth of all the wine produced in the ODouro Demarcated Region, adds 12 million bottles-5 million bottles of port wine and 7 million bottles of ODouro table wines, sparkling wines and aged brandies. |
