Pbi manufactures various types of master batches, compounds, blends, alloys, etc. For the plastics industry. With a 19% market share, pbi is the undisputed leader in the masterbatch segment in india. Pbi is also the largest exporter of plastics masterbatches from india and a recognized export house by the government of india. Pbi is the first masterbatch manufacturing company in india to be awarded the iso 9001 quality assurance certification by tuv bayern, germany. The company has been consistently meeting global standards for quality, service and performance. Focus on latest manufacturing technology has enabled improvement in productivity and reduction in material costs. Continuous r&d has resulted in introduction of new generation products like biodegradable masterbaches, conductive compounds, optical brighteners, antistatic agents, uv stabilizers, etc. Pbi has recently introduced high-value masterbaches for synthetic fibre industry for which it is poised to grab a significant market share. All our products are subjected to various tests rigorously in our quality assurance laboratory equipped with modern test equipments. All production batches are also subjected to processability tests on standard processing equipments. Our in house machines include: Extruder to manufacture monolayer films Injection moulding machine Twin screw extruder for development of masterbatches We have an automatic bagging system and care is taken to see that the standard of the bags in which the masterbatch is packed is also maintained. Pbi has a sophisticated laboratory to check all the ingredients required to manufacture masterbatches. All the basic ingredients like the polymers, pigments, additives are checked and accepted only if they abide to the required specifications. Two spectro-photometers provide the in house facility of exact and quick colour matching. Besides, a close tolerance of the finished goods and batch-to-batch consistency is also ensured. During the manufacturing process, at regular intervals of three hours, all the masterbatches are checked for quality parameters like dispersion, mfi, bulk density, colour matching and percentage concentration of pigments |
