An example of a complex control problem that was solved by Petrotech was the design of an anti-surge control system for an advanced five-section centrifugal compressor for a Urea Plant, each section having independent inlet guide vanes to control flow. The compressor control system also included on-line optimization and calculations of thermodynamic parameters. Another example of the scope of our turnkey capabilities was the design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of integrated control systems to simultaneously replace and modernize the relay based controls of sixteen (16) GE Frame 5 Turbine Generators including the addition of dual fuel capability and associated auxiliary systems. |
