Pak-American fertilizers Ltd. is the First Firtizer plant establised in Pakistan. Initially the plant was designed to produce 150 Tons of ammonium sulphate using coal as Raw material. Latter the plant was switched over to N gas and new plant of ammonia and Urea was installed in 1999 having name plate capacity to produce 1000 MTPD of Urea. In 2006 the plant was aquired by Azgard9 group. Azgard9 plan to improve the Urea production to about 1500 MTPD after revaming of its ammonia and urea plants.
