| About | The Company was incorporated in September 1995 initially as a joint venture company between Drexel Bakti Oilfield Sdn Bhd and Promat Engineering Service Ltd. The joint venture setup was primarily to manufacture a range of Flanged Branch and Branch Outlet Fitting for the Malaysian oil, gas, petrochemical and power generation markets. The technology transfer and extensive training that have been achieved over the past years provided the competence level to this local company. The Joint Venture commitment has provided the platform to take advantage in the realisation of the industry s objectives: 1. To have added value in its products through the provision of complete transfer of technical knowledge and expertise. 2. To be a part contributor in achieving the nation s industrialised status. 3. To promote Made in Malaysia products for export. 4. To reduce import dependency. Promat ESM Sdn Bhd (PESM) has a fully manufacturing set-up in Jakar, Kemaman, Terengganu and licensed with PETRONAS as a Manufacturer for the categories of Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel Flanges and Fittings since 1996. Our initial productions were mainly Flanged Branch and Outlet Fittings (from forged materials) Prior to our appointment as vendor for the Manufacturing of Conventional Flanges under PETRONAS vendor Development Program (VDP) in December 1998. Since then our main productions are flanges although we have been making flanges products to cater for specialized design and urgent delivery requirement from our material stocks of flanged branch forgings. Our initial manufacturing set-up was capable of machining flanges of up to size 65 (ASME B16.5) but now increased to 16 150# using fast production (CNC) machineries. We do have larger capability machines (e.g. 72 diameter Vertical Borer) but of manual types which enable us to machine includes but not limited to the full range of ASME B16.5 range (up to 24). These increments are achieved by adding more machinery through out the years as part of our development to cater for the clients requirement as much as possible.
