| About | Manila Pest Control Company [MAPECON] was organized as a sole proprietorship with PhP 400.00 capitalization in 1961. On May 1968, it was incorporated with an authorized capital stock of PhP 1M and was increased to PhP 2M in 1979, divided into 200,000 shares at PhP 10.00 par value per share. All shares are subscribed and paid up. As of December 1995, its corporate assets have totaled PhP 41M. It has 60% share holding [capitalized at PhP 49.5M] in MAPECON Green Charcoal Philippines, Inc. [MGCPI], a subsidiary company. Since MAPECON produces not only pesticides but also Green Charcoal [GC] and Activated Carbon [AC], its corporate name was changed to MAPECON Philippines, Inc. in 1996. BUSINESS LINES: 1. MAPECON Philippines, Inc. manufactures pesticides, rodenticides and other pest control inputs that are covered by proprietary patents; 2. MAPECON Philippines, Inc. undertakes and renders pest control services to residential, commercial and industrial entities. It is recognized expert in all types and aspects of urban pest control; 3. MAPECON Philippines, Inc. offers Franchise & Consultancy [F&C] pest control services and appropriate energy technology to commercial and industrial complexes; 4. MAPECON Philippines, Inc. manufactures Green Charcoal and various charcoal stoves. It also assists in setting up mobile green charcoal plants to process agro-wastes and cellulosic into fuel and other useful products; 5. MAPECON Philippines, Inc. produces Activated Carbon [AC] and Charcoal Briquettes through a joint venture with an Australian firm; and 6. MAPECON Philippines, Inc. produces and exports decorative and useful/functional products such as fruits and vegetables using the Green Charcoal technology.
