Description | Pipes. Manufacturing process HFW is the process of forming a longitudinal seam by electric resistance or electric induction welding. The edges to be welded are mechanically pressed together and the heat for welding is generated by resistance to the flow of electric current. HSAW is the welding process that produces the coalescence of metals by heating them with an arc or arcs between a bare metal consumable electrode or electrodes and the parent material. A blanket of granular, fusible material shields the arc and the molten metal. No pressure is used, and part or all of the filler metal is obtained from the electrodes. Manufacturing specifications HF welded pipes or HSAW pipes are manufactured in accordance with international standards (API 5L, EN 10208, ISO 3183) or customer specifications. |
