| About | We, John Ross & Sons, are a 75 year old scrap processor specialized in ferrous & non ferrous scraps. We are the largest metal recycler in Atlantic Canada (east of Canada) with full scaling operation sites in Goodwood (15 acres) and Turo (5 acres) , Nova Scotia for all ferrous metals, and our main office in Halifax for non-ferrous metals (10 acres) . We ship approximately 2000 containers per year. Halifax is the second largest natural ice-free harbour on the main European / North American Atlantic shipping lanes. This allows for easy and quick transit times via container ships. - Shipment term: CNF. - Payment term: T/ T against faxed documents. - We are class B self inspector for CCIC. We have our own AQSIQ. We are a member of ISRI, BIR and CARI. We have been exporting to Europe, China, Taiwan and Korea for years, and work with major mills there. Our nonferrous products include copper scrap (Honey, Berry / Candy, Birch / Cliff, Ebony, Ocean, # 1 / # 2 insulated copper wire, etc. ) and aluminium scrap (Tense, Taint Tabor, MLC, Aluminium extrusions, Irony aluminium-45% recovered aluminium, Irony extrusion-5% contamination) . We also do electric motors, starters, alternators, transformers, etc. Our ferrous scrap includes HMS 80: 20, P + S, used rail, cast iron, manganese steel scrap, etc. |
