About | Jordan Abyad Fertilizers and Chemicals Company P.S.C (JAFCCO) was established in August 2007. The new JAFCCO facilities are located in Al-Abyad area 120 km to the south of Amman with a project cost of 110 MUSD. Production is expected to start in the 1st quarter of 2010. Products are: - Sulphuric Acid (H2SO4): 132 000 ton/yr. - Hydrochloric Acid (HCl): 100 000 ton/yr. - Potassium Sulphate (K2SO5 or SOP): 80 000 ton/yr. - Di-Calcium Phosphate Dihydrate (CaHPO4.2H2O or DCPD): 15 000 ton/yr. - Triple Super Phosphate (CaH4(PO4)2.H2O or TSP): 65 000 ton/yr. - Calcium Chloride (CaCl2) 77% concentration: 55 000 ton/yr. JAFCCO acquired the former Jordan Arab Fertilizers and Chemicals Company Ltd. (also known as JAFCCO) which was established in 1997, Jordan Arab Fertilisers and Chemicals Company Ltd. (JAFCCO) was one of the Jordan's leading companies and pioneers in the specialised field of chemical fertilisers, it is providing the local, Middle East, Arab and International markets with high-value, premium-quality soluble Potassium Sulphate (K2SO4 or SOP) and Hydrochloric Acid (HCl). In the year 2001 production capacity reached 6000 ton SOP and 7200 ton of HCl per annum, With continuous monitoring and upgrading the plants capacity reached a remarkable capacity of 12000 ton SOP and 14400 ton HCl per annum in year 2008. However, due to increase in demand the plant has been expanded to deliver 18000 SOP and 21600 ton of HCl per annum; this expansion is to be completed by end of June 2009. Furthermore, being pioneers in the specialty of fertilisers and chemicals it was time to expand and diversify, hence, the new JAFCCO was established in 2007 to provide the local and International markets with the wide spectrum of high-quality fertilisers and chemicals. |
