About IEDG is headquartered in United Kingdom, with regional offices in all of the 18 provinces in Iraq and Dubai. Our mission is to develop the economic prospects of Iraq and by definition, enhance the social wellbeing of the Iraqi people. We are non-sectarian private investment company and have no political bias whatsoever.

As Iraq imports 80% of what it consumes, it requires almost all the products or services imaginable. IEDG is the gateway to one of the fastest growing markets in the Middle East. In addition to investing in projects, we are also able to market almost any product or services from any country and add considerable turnover to any business. Whilst in the process, businesses will become exporters without any of the hassle of exporting (i. e. there is no need for them to worry about documentation, letters of credit or even transportation) . Very simply companies deliver their products to a designated UK location and leave the rest to us. In essence, Iraq becomes an extension of their domestic market.

We accomplish our objectives by developing infra-structure projects, such as agriculture, education related, communications, and in fact any project that will enhance the development of Iraq and its people. Such projects range in magnitude from investments ranging from $2 million, up to over $500 million.

When we are asked to become involved in a project, we will conduct the feasibility study, the industry research, and then the in co-operation with the investor will follow the project through, all the way from start to finish, using as much Iraqi labour and input as possible. We are conversant with budgeting, procurement, cost and time controls and efficacy in general.

More details can be found on our website, at WWW. investmentsiraq. org

The IEDG plans to help re-build Iraq by attracting investment, providing products and services, and creating jobs. The company has received backing from a number of private investors, including Scandinavian pension funds.

Seventy per cent of all the projects we are doing require construction material. We would very much like to have that 70 per cent come from UK businesses. We look at ourselves as a funnel. People can pour their business into us here in Bradford and it comes out in Iraq.

Products and services are needed in every part of Iraq's economy; from electrical power to plastic bags. Companies can invest directly into the group's commercial projects and participate in public-private partnerships with links to IEDG.
