Main Technology(PVD Technology): Physical Vapor Deposition is a general term for a variety of methods to deposit thin films by the condensation of a vaporized form of the material onto various surfaces. PVD coating method is widely used for decorative and functional coatings. Coating materials can be TiC, TiCN, ZrN, CrN, MOS2, TiAlCN, TiN-AIN, CNx, DLC and Ta-C. In various PVD technologies, Cathodic Arc Deposition and Magnetic Sputtering are mainly used nowadays. Comparing with magnetic sputtering, cathodic arc deposition has higher efficiency and coats faster. However, since there is no phase transformation during magnetic sputtering, the particles are much smaller. Coating surface by magnetic sputtering is more smooth and compact than by cathodic arc deposition. Cathodic arc deposition is used for most decorative applications and suffices some functional coating applications. Magnetic sputtering is an option to improve surface performances after surface created by cathodic arc deposition, since the latter has higher coating efficiency.
