| About | HIALEM Started AFRICAN STREET KIDS in 1997 in Nairobi Kenya. The ministry to the street kids was started as a community awareness outreach program. Because of lack of finances, we are only able to feed the boys: occasionally clothe them and take care of their emergency medical needs. We have 30 kids whom we feed one meal a day. We have to change the feeding locations daily due to the huge number of kids who turn up. Many of our kids are orphans due to Aids. Some have a single poor parent who is not able to feed them, while others have been abandoned by their parents due to severe poverty. Fishing tackle is a new and creative way that we have found of providing our street kids with a bright future. We are looking for buyers of our finished products and would appreciate if you could spread the word. Our goal is to raise enough money to give these boys education,food & shelter, and a career.
