| About | HDI is an independent Food & Beverage Products Research firm. We develop new products for major, worldwide companies. We also do research in food products manufacturing and packaging. We also offer consultancy services in: marketing; advertising; sales; regulatory and legal aspects worldwide for all food and beverage products. HDI was founded in 1922 in California. It was originally a food distributor for grocery stores. Just before WWII it started a food research lab. It quickly won an army contract and by the end of the war food research was the biggest part of the business. By the end of the 1950's it was no longer involved in distribution but was doing research only and had branched out into packaging and manufacturing research as well. Today its corporate offices are in San Francisco and its large and ultra modern research facility is just east of San Francisco. It has clients, large and small, world wide. |
