Our Associates, The Sudanese River Transport Company ( Private Holding Company ) with offices in Khartoum, Rabak, Malakal , Maloot and Juba are considered pioneers in this traffic. They own and operate a large number of pusher ships and barges serving all the prime ports up and down stream on fixed schedules from Rabak to Juba and vice versa. The Company has its own port infrastructures and all necessary ground handling equipment ( cranes, forklifts, trucks etc ) beside 27 acres of warehousing facilities in Rabak. Plans for expanding the fleet to meet the growing traffic are already in process where more vessels and barges are expected to join the fleet . CUSTOMS CLEARANCE The Customs clearance/removal of goods interface is a critical area where the current congestion in Port Sudan represents serious obstacles for clearing and removing import goods from the port for onward transportation to their final destinations. Our Company has therefore opted itself with handling this requirement diligently through its own offices in Port Sudan so as to minimize the clearance lead time and ensure prompt withdrawal of cargo to avoid demurrage charges being imposed the seaport authority. STORAGE We are well connected to several warehousing operators in both Khartoum and Port Sudan as well as in Kosti and Rabak. We can also offer storage facilities in Khartoum Airport on request.
