| About | Gakuya Co. is founded in Gyoda (headquarter) as a manufacturer and wholesaler of Japanese traditional socks "tabi" in 1922. We are careful in making the domestic products, and we currently have our factoriy in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. We mainly deal in the tabi slippers, cotton stretches with [socks extending Espa] water-repellent nano and the industry's first [water-repellent nano first white calico socks]. We also deal in other type of tabi such as the one for traditional Japanese tatami craftsmen. We have a total enrollment of 44 employees, since its founding. [Beauty for the future of traditional skills, to create a culture step] business philosophy, we are planning to build a product that you truly love. We took craftsmen's skills into computer-controlled sewing machines and make traditional products more stably. Our main market is basically in Japan. However, our culture has been accepted in abroad, there're many scenes that require tabi around the world. Recently, many queries from various countries came in, and we had orders from Europe and America. We take advantage of a manufacturer, product development and just for that purpose, we do actively thinking about design changes.
