| About | Finca Oriflama has belonged to the Hannstein family since 1923. The farm is located in southwestern Guatemala in the cloudforest at between 3, 500 and 5, 000 feet altitude. We produce primarily a gourmet quality coffee and quality Macadamia nuts. On Oriflama we collect the nuts and process them to the various levels of processing for the following products: 1. Macadamia nuts, both salted and unsalted in a variety of sized packages. 2. Macadamia oil which is cold pressed and filtered on the farm. 3. Macadamia butter. 4. Macatela, which is a delicious spread made of chocolate and ground up macadamia nuts. The farm consists of 412 cultivated acres. We have about 800, 000 coffee trees and 8, 000 macadamia trees. We employ thirty five people full time and during the coffee harvest this number swells to 200. It is an ecologically sound farm and it has been certified by Rainforest Alliance for the past eight years. Our last inspection earned us 96 points! |
