| About | D M Palmer is proud to enjoy strong support from apple growers in all the major growing areas. D M Palmer, with its successful 26 year history of fresh crop export, has an excellent reputation among growers. They have seen our commitment to quality management, effective logistics and shipping demonstrated with a range of products. Moreover, D M Palmer's shareholder is a major apple grower. Over the past five seasons, D M Palmer has actively participated in the independent export of apples under the export permit structure as per the existing legislation. With complete deregulation our apple quantities will increase. Apple growers are already working with D M Palmer. In Hawkes Bay, NZ's premier pipfruit growing region, an infrastructure is in place for growers and D M Palmer to develop this supply base further. This same concept will be used to expand into the other pipfruit producing areas. D M Palmer has three staff full time in the growing regions whose primary focus is procurement and logistics management of the expanding apple export business. The main focus is direct grower relationships. From these relationships come packhouse arrangements. At this level DM Palmer will apply individual customer's grade standards as appropriate. Dm Palmer has concentrated on direct supermarket supply business facilitated by importers in the countries of destination. The intention is to maintain a reliable system where importers benefit from DM Palmer's attitude of long term relationship and quality of produce. All main NZ apple varieties will be available and a mix of sizes, as required by individual customers, can be provided. |
