| About | CST Communications(Private) Limited, CST Communications, registration number 1773/87 was incorporated in Zimbabwe in 1987 with the main objective of providing telecommunications contracting services in the Southern African Development Community(SADC). In 1994, a wholly owned subsidiary, CST Cellular(Private) Limited was formed with the view of providing cellular services in SADC, with two operating divisions CST Cellular(Proprietary) Limited in Botswana and CST Cellular Zimbabwe(Private) Limited. The company was awarded a cellular service provision license in Zimbabwe. In Botswana the company failed to get a license and the company is now being used as a vehicle for the e-commerce project. To complement the cellular services company, CST Internet was founded in 1996. In ensuing years, CST Cellular Zimbabwe(Private) Limited was sold to Africa Resources Limited and has since changed its name to Firstel Cellular whilst CST Internet(Private) Limited merged with Primenet Internet Services CST Communications Bank is devloping an ecommerce platform for selling various products on behalf of various firms, mainly mobile phones, computers and accessories. |
