| About | The tradition of wine making in the Russo family began two centuries ago in the town of Solicchiata, province of Castiglione di Sicily. In the same period as the wine making for Etna DOC was being produced. The tradition began in 1800 and has been passeded on from father to son. The Russo family dedicated exclusively the cultivation of their vineyards in the town of Solicchiata (Castiglione of Sicily) at the foot of the volcano Etna. In 1955, Don Ciccio (Francesco) Russo, father of Vicenzo founded our actual business and built our first establishment where our wine was produced, bottled and sold. He created the first brand "Rusvini" which is still today in production in the name of IGT. |
