Beechs fine choclates was founded in 1920, by the collinson family and stayed in the family for 46 years, preston was the obvious place to begin as it was abusy port with good road links for national distribution. And preston women, it transpired, had a natural aptitude for making chocolate. Initially the chocolates were sold at fairgrounds, but as beechs reputation for quality grew, so did the company, and by the end of the second world war, collinson had successfully penetrated the top end of the luxury market. Today beechs fine chocolates ltd, carrys on supplying chocolates all over the UK, with a constant emphasis on quality and value for money and a keen remembrance of the companies' strong heritage. |
