| About | The Romano family farm is situated in a beautiful, historic area in the commune of Monreale, just 25 Km from Palermo (Sicily - Italy). Its vineyards lie on the slopes of mount Jato, the site of the ancient city of Jetas, once inhabited by Arabs and destroyed in 1246 by Frederick II. The countryside has always been a passion for the Romano family, though only recently has it become their working environment (for several generations, members of the family have worked as dentists). Over the years, Vito, the head of the family, has spent all of his free time expanding and improving the small farm that his father left him. Today, the family owns 29 hectares of vines. |
