About I am of the Alireza family, one of the oldest and largest merchant families in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and boasting a commercial Registration number 1. With over 150 years of history in trading and commerce, it has amassed an enviable roster of agencies and joint ventures and among these today are partnerships with ExxonMobil, Ford Motor Corp. McDonalds, Compaq, Mazda among many others. Our mother company websites.

On a personal level, I had been involved as the managing Director of Reza Food Services Co., a family company, where I had acquired the agency of McDonalds Corp. In 1993 for the Western Province of Saudi Arabia. I am also a part owner of the venture. In that capacity, I managed the company in its infant/start up phase up until 1997. During that period, the company grew to operate 10 stores.

In 1997, I decided to move on to another challenge and set up my own enterprise for the distribution of non-cosmetic and household products. I had acquired the agencies of two Italian companies Malizia along with its sister products of Intesa and Excitant, and my own brand (Blue Wave) from a company called Cotoneve. The reason for my own brand is due to an already existing agent for (Cotoneve). The Malizia product ranged from hand creams, eau de toilette, shampoos, liquid soap, deodorants, hair products, (gels, mousse, dye). The list of items numbered sixty plus items many of which were of the same function but varied in fragrance, size and shape. Since then I have expanded my distribution network kingdom wide which now includes much of the class A and B supermarkets, wholesalers, and mini markets. In April of 2001, I determined to expand my product range and diversified into food and beverage. I attained the sole distribution rights for the largest food manufacturer in Egypt, Fargalla. In five months I was able to increase my sales from one 40ft. Container a month to 6 containers a month and this is expected to grow much further. Since then, I have acquired two more agencies. One Egyptian company called Dony Pack, for the distribution of frozen fruits and the other of Holland origin named Aviko. The product being French Fries and various potato products.

My aim at this stage is to leverage the extensive distribution set up that has now been built by further broadening the existing product range and in particular in the food/beverage and consumer care products sector. This is a rapidly expanding area as our population is one of the fastest growing in the world with a fairly large middle class and high per capita income for a developing country.

In 1985, the headcount in Saudi was 15 million people while today it is 22 million,75% of which is under the age of 18. It is expected that by the year 2010, this number will reach 30 million. In addition, Saudi Arabia enjoys a much advance level of Supermarket chains, comparable in quality and size to the best in western countries. Choices to consumers are in many instances even greater than the in the west as much of the products are imported from all over the world with low custom duties imposed on them.

In light of the above I am looking to partner with highly reputable companies with strong brand names such as yours. With my existing set-up and aggressive marketing strategy I believe that it will be possible to create a fruitful and prosperous collaboration. I hope the above has given a rounded summary of background and vision. If you need any more information please do not hesitate to contact me. I await your kind and quick response to my letter.
