| About | Sikkim is a hilly region with steep slopes. Farming is done in small terraces of 4-5 feet width. Farm mechanisation is nil with farmers dependent on BUllocks and traditional tools & equipments. Of late progress is being made on the post harvest processing stages, but major stress need to be done towards propoer identification, selection of mechanised and efficient land preparation, sowing, interculture & harcesting tools.
